Proheart 12 – Annual Heartworm Preventative Injection

Here at Fox Hill, we carry Proheart 12 heartworm preventative. This preventative is great for dogs who are not so compliant in taking their medicine or owners who might just be too busy to give it to them every month. One dose lasts one year!
How It Works
The dose is administered subcutaneously through an injection into the dog’s skin, similar to how they receive most vaccinations. From there, the medication adheres to their fatty tissue within the body wall. By doing so the tissue continuously releases the prevention medicine for 12 months.
Who is Eligible?
- To be eligible for ProHeart 12, your pet must have a current negative heartworm test.
- Your pet must also be at least 12 months of age before starting ProHeart 12.
- Your pet must be in good health before receiving ProHeart 12.
